Eva Carlebach

Carlebach was born in Berlin, Germany in 1919.

Carlebach is pictured standing at a Seder in c.1942-44 at Gwrych Castle, Wales, which was a hostel for children brought on the Kindertransports.

She cared for the Boys at Windermere, and then at Great Chesterford. She was later the matron of a hostel in Manchester. She married Joseph Heinemann in 1947 and they had two daughters. She died in Jerusalem, Israel in 1966.
