Alexander Rosenthal

Rosenthal was born on 1 November 1929 in Velka Berezna in the Carpathian Mountains, which was then the most easterly part of Czechoslovakia. In 1930 2,404 Jews were living in Velka Berezna. Little is known about Rosenthal’s family or childhood except for that he had a brother called Mikulas and a sister called Julia Pogan.
